BOC Gases in NZ has virtually killed off the home hobbiest by not filling privately owned bottles of oxygen and acetylene. Nor will they sell any bottles. They will however hire them out at great cost - 4 years hire would be enough to buy you a bottle!

Southern Gas of Christchurch NZ will sell and fill D size oxygen bottles which are privately owned. They will also fill and sell acetylene bottles if they can get enough orders for them to import. 200 bottles are required for an import order and at the moment approximately 100 names are on their list so if you want your own set contact them.
